Pre-School
« Help me to do by myself »
This is the stage when children get their conscience of self, our team’s multiple objectives give the structure and roots to learning.
We are committed to allow our children :
  • to become autonomous
  • to develop their sensory perceptions
  • to develop fine motor skills
  • to explore language
  • to prepare for reading, writing and maths
  • to open up to culture
  • to benefit from total bilingualism. Their time is equally shared between French and English
The bilingual teaching is done by 2 educators, one Anglophone and one Francophone. The child is invited to learn at his/her own ryhtm according to individual preferences and capacities. The teaching material allows children to go from concrete to abstract learning. This stimulate all forms of intelligence and fosters our children’s cognitive flexibility, encouraging them to become autonomous and developing self-confidence.

Details of proposed educational activities

Motricity : fun activities that involve the body (psychomotricity) to develop the apprehension of space (posture, displacement). Stimulate the fine skills for the development of the graphomotor skills (integration of the visuo-motor axis).

Emotions and socialization : collective activity with common objectives to create a group dynamic (imitation to develop empathy, make the class a team and develop solidarity,) and promote the integration of social rules while privileging the expression of the personality of each child.

Sensorimotor intelligence : learning through experience. To allow the child to experiment and to build by himself, from a didactic material, the mental patterns necessary for the construction of his reasoning. Establishment of the prerequisites for the implementation of basic learning.

Verbal intelligence : sensory and analytical approach of the alphabet (rough letters, letters in modeling clay). Visual and auditory associations of symbols (the written word and the word read). Immersion in a bilingual environment to develop the agility of encodings and access to the reading combinatorics as it will be solicited for reading.

In addition to this our children have weekly activities such as :
